An art and music performance

This, one night only, performance takes place in the template loft (Skabelonloftet) in the old shipyard on Refshaleøen. Here, you will experience a musical ekphrasis. A work-to-work relation where one art medium re-presents or translates another.

English pianist, Paul Cheater, will improvise live to the paintings created by artist Kristian Bluff, creating a sensory dialogue between paintings and music.

Selected paintings from Kristian's Escapism series, which explores landscapes as dreamlike places of escape from everyday life, will be shown and played to.

Ekphrasis is not just a retelling or a description of an image, it is a reimagination. Bringing the vision of artworks into light.
